Before it Begins

How this project is being built

First Update Notes

What began as a simple idea to write companion blog posts alongside a playthrough quickly grew into something more ambitious. I realized that a traditional blog format wouldn’t fully support the level of immersion I wanted, so the project pivoted into its current form: a dedicated subdomain built as an in-universe archive. This structure allows the story, documents, and supporting materials to live together in a way that feels cohesive rather than fragmented.

A significant amount of backend work has gone into building this foundation. Over the past two weeks, the focus has been on creating page templates, document structures, and visual systems that can support the story as it unfolds, at least through the core class story and Ilum. The intent has always been to build the framework first, so that the narrative itself can move forward without constant restructuring.

Streaming will be done in 2K with dual-format output, made possible through Twitch’s beta programs. VODs will be archived immediately after each session, with uploads to Twitch and YouTube following shortly thereafter. These recordings are intentionally unedited and preserved as archival material.

With the pre-story content now in place and the site live, the story is ready to begin. Updates will be regular. Some documents, reports, diary entries, and other materials will be posted shortly after live sessions, while additional pieces will be developed during off-stream days. I typically stream four days a week, leaving the remaining time to expand the archive and continue building the story beyond the live gameplay.
