Title Scroll Track

How this project is being built

Because this project is about telling a story that lives within this universe, it needed an opening of its own. Something that signals we are here, but not by copying the familiar shape of a Star Wars title crawl. Indigo’s story is not a sweeping space opera. It is quieter, more internal, built from thought, breath, memory, and anticipation.

The music needed to reflect that.

I went looking for a piece that could open the journey without overpowering it. Something short enough to function as an introduction without cutting off awkwardly, and subtle enough to feel like a beginning rather than a declaration. I searched with simple constraints—cinematic, serious, roughly a minute in length—but finding the right fit proved harder than expected.

Many tracks were technically suitable, but not emotionally right.

That search gave me a renewed appreciation for the people who compose music for stories. Translating a feeling that exists only in your head into sound is no small task, and I’m not sure I could have articulated what I was looking for clearly enough to commission it myself.

In the end, a small handful of tracks remained. Any of them might have worked. But one stood out immediately. Not just because it matched the tone I was searching for, but because it seemed to understand the story before it was told.

When one of the finalists for Indigo’s opening was titled “Indigo,” the decision made itself.
